Hey, I’m Mike — LA born, South Bay resident, and the photographer behind Swell.

Before picking up the camera full-time, I spent over a decade in digital marketing and branding, where visual storytelling was a huge part of the job. That’s where I fell in love with capturing images that feel right — honest, engaging, and full of life. What started as shooting portraits of friends quickly turned into something more: a way to help people see themselves and their stories in a genuine, beautiful light.

I’ve photographed everything from brands and restaurants to events and weddings, but portraits are where I feel most at home. My sessions are laid-back, fun, and focused on keeping things real — no stiff poses or pressure. Just real moments, good energy, and little SoCal light. I listen closely to your vision and bring my own eye to the mix, creating images that feel authentically YOU.
